I wonder if there is any relationship to the local magnate,
Asa Packer, as in the Lehigh RR, and

I was just telling my garden guy and his wife who are on a
time-share week in the Poconos and intend to visit Jim Thorpe
(Mauk Chunk), Pennsyvlania tomorrow, the sights of Asa Packer's
town.  There is, first and foremost, Saint Mark's Episcopal  Church
that Asa bankrolled.  It's a fascinating tour.  Then there is the  Asa
Packer mansion, and that of his son, etc., etc.
 
Anyway, Asa Packer was a really big name in Pennsylvania's coal
