[Magdalen] Insurance screw-up.

During this calendar year, I've had many strange things show up on my explanations of benefit (EOBs) regarding my Stanford song and dance, but they've always been Stanford's fault and they get fixed behind the scenes with no botheration from me.

This weekend I got one showing a couple charges (outpatient services and x-ray) for date of service 06/13 at the UCSF Medical Center.  First, I was at work on 06/13, and second, I haven't been to the UCSF medical center in San Francisco since 1998 (and that was for Everett, not me).  I called Blue Cross and explained this, and was very nicely told it would be fixed and I'd get a call back before close of business Friday.

Since insurance is all electronic these days, at least in terms of coding and billing, I wonder how someone else's medical care intersected with mine for just long enough for me to get his or her charge?
