Not all that old, but they don't last as long as they used to, as cars are now computers with wheels and not just plain ol' combustion engines as of yore.

Today might just prove to be the battery, but with my now 2-month-long history of digital mystery, the current assumption must still be that the computer is trying to tell us that some vital bit of info just isn't making it to where it needs to be.  Or, that it (the computer) is sounding its $1000 death rattle.
