In our series, there is 6 June 1944.

The Invasion of Normandy - "D Day."

Payback for 1066.

We (family) were at "the lake."  (Big Wood
Lake), Burnett County, Wisconsin.

We didn't find out about it until we turned on
the noon radio news that followed "Oxydol's
Own Ma Perkins."

We knew this was something important, and indeed it was.
