I have a dilute tortoiseshell cat with two names - Nyssa (a character in Doctor Who), and Nerissa (a character in The Merchant of Venice.) Sometimes I call Nyssa, Nerissa, Nerit, Nerimus, Neristis, Nererunt - thereby treating a name as if it were a verb.
