I went through oxycontin withdrawal after a knee replacement.
Boy, was I surprised!
Was called back to work early, so just stopped taking it (so I could go
back clear-headed)
Went to bed (mostly to try to stay warm, because I couldn't stop shivering).
Fell asleep eventually. Woke up twelve hours later, drank a quart of water,
and it was over.
But oxycontin never made me high. A friend who's a nurse (who's had two hip
replacements, so knows plenty about this stuff) says there's a genetic
component. Some people miss the high and chase it. Some people don't miss
it at all. I was in the latter category, TBTG,
