It was on the BBC as well, complete with the frozen river and burning 
rail ties. All we got locally was -5.2C (22.6F)  Although I was in a 
sensible place then (bed) unusually I had to drive this morning. Despite 
clearing the windows the door mirrors werre frozen over and there was a 
low sun I had to drive into at times - not nice.
