That sounds like a nightmare, David.  My gastroenterologist always comes in
the room right after the procedure (after you wake up) and tells you what
she found. Obviously, if there's a polyp, the results aren't final, but at
least you know the basic results. But she's terrific...takes about six
months to get a screening appointment, but it's well worth the wait.
