[Magdalen] School Songs

 I mentioned in an earlier post the recycling of college school songs.My experience with this is secondary to my Midwestern USA origins.My own high school song was an adaptation of the U-Illinois songand the various schools in our league all had such recycling ofBig Ten universities school songs.  Thus, I recall U Michigan, U-MNappropriately our arch rival to the south, Frederic, WI,Michigan,Indiana, Ohio, etc  And of course the Notre Dame song waspopular.

I was always amused, however, by the fact that the school song text forOntonagon, MI on Lake Superior in the UP of Michigan wassimply Ontonagon, for On Wisconsin.
